Welcome back to another week where we highlight the Top 10 Stories Of The Week From The Kicks On Fire Instagram. This feature focuses on the top/most read stories of the week as chosen by you, our readers/supporters. The way it works is we post a picture about current sneaker news or an upcoming release on our Instagram account and many times we advise you to “tap or click the link in our bio.” The main goal for that is so we can direct you to a certain piece of news on the site that we feel is important or breaking. It’s a quick way for us to connect you to the site in the click (or touch) of a button.

This week we welcomed in the month of March which will unofficially be known as “Air Max Month” this year. The Nike Air Max 1 is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year and Nike will be going ALL OUT to celebrate Air Max Day (March 26th) by making it a month-long celebration. The festivities will get started this weekend with the release of the OG Air Max 1 in the University Red colorway. There is also lots of other goodies that Nike will be releasing this month, including the highly anticipated Air Max 1 Atmos Elephant and the debut of the VaporMax. Aside from Air Max releases, this week we also received our first look at the KAWS x Air Jordan 4 which features a full cool grey suede upper for a simple and premium look. We still haven’t seen official images, but you can bet that these will be nearly impossible to grab unless you know the right people or you’re willing to pay a pretty penny for them. James Harden and adidas also made some noise this week by releasing two different colorways of the Harden Vol. 1. Oh yeah, and an OG Air Jordan is also making a return this weekend for the first time ever.

10An Official Look At The 2017 Nike Air Max 1 Atmos Elephant

Just in case you needed any more proof that it’s happening, Nike released official images of the 2017 Air Max 1 Atmos Elephant this week. Voted last year by the public as the Air Max sneaker that we wanted to see make a return in 2017, this collaborative colorway of the Air Max 1 will be returning on Air Max Day, or possibly even sooner. Are you excited? Stay tuned to Kicks On Fire for release updates.

9Another GS Colorway Of The Air Jordan 6 To Release This Weekend

If you fit into extended GS sizes then don’t sleep this weekend because Jordan Brand will be releasing one of the cleanest GS sneakers we’ve seen in quite some time. Featuring a full white leather upper, this Jordan 6 is contrasted by Hyper Jade and Black for a versatile look that can be rocked by either men or women. I’m actually considering buying a pair for myself.

8James Harden Reminds Us That It’s All “Grayvy” With This Harden Vol.1

As James Harden continues to make his case for MVP this season, The Beard and adidas released a new colorway of the adidas Harden Vol. 1 this week known as the “Grayvy” colorway. The shoe is inspired by Harden’s positive mentality and smooth style that elevates him above the competition and features a gray leather and knitted upper. Did you cop a pair? This is definitely one of the cleanest colorways to drop so far.

7Puma Gives The Blaze Of Glory An EvoKnit Upgrade

Puma finds different ways to reinvent their popular Blaze of Glory and this may be the best version yet. For their latest trick, the Puma Blaze of Glory has been given a brand new look as it comes constructed out of an EvoKnit upper making it lighter and more breathable. One of the first colorways comes covered in grey with black and tan detailing. Do you like what you see from the BoG?

This Kobe A.D. features a black upper with yellow accents and special Oregon touches including “O” branding on the heels and a feather graphic on the midsole. Grab yours on March 10th for $160.

5The Nike Air Max Ultra 2.0 Flyknit Makes Its Debut

Nike officially added the Air Max 90 to the Flyknit family this week as they released the Air Max 90 Ultra 2.0 Flyknit to the public in a variety of colorways. Among the most popular was the Infrared pair that takes inspiration from the OG pair that released in 1990. Did you cop a pair? If so, let us know what colorway you scooped up.

4The Air Jordan 15 Obsidian Gets The Retro Treatment

Originally released back in 2000, the Air Jordan 15 Obsidian will be returning for the first time ever this weekend. Covered in a leather and woven upper, MJ never wore this sneaker on the court due to him retiring (for the 2nd time). It seems like people are more excited about this pair than they were about the Anthracite colorway that released back in January. Do you plan on copping?

Similar to what Nike did two years ago, this year they will once again release a special Air Max 1 to celebrate Air Max Day (March 26th). The shoe is of the Ultra 2.0 variety and comes in the OG white/red colorway and features “3.26” on the tongue to celebrate Air Max Day. You can grab yours on March 16th for $120.

2Pizza Hut Creates “Pie Tops” That Allow You To Order Pizza

Pizza Hut created a sneaker known as the “Pie Tops” that allow you to order a pizza simply by pressing on the tongue. How it works is that the tongue contains a Bluetooth button that pairs with a phone app. The Pie Tops were created to celebrate Pizza Hut’s first year as the official pizza of the NCAA, and to commemorate this year’s March Madness basketball tournament. Only 64 pairs were made and they’re for promotional purposes only. Welp…
